IACH Kick-Off

The International Academic Club Hagenberg is officially founded. This evening is where we say publicly what it is for and invite everyone in Hagenberg — and everyone in Softwarepark — to be part of it.

Why this evening exists

International graduates leave, or don’t stay long, in Upper Austria. International employees often don’t feel at home here. Upper Austria still lacks a well-established culture of welcoming and integration. Those are not problems an institution fixes on anybody’s behalf; they’re fixed by a community that actually exists.

So the goals of the evening are simple:

• Put public attention on why “internationals” matter for this region.
• Explain what the club will do, and how it’s funded and run.
• Find members, supporters and sponsors.
• Get the Upper Austrian organisations working in this field into one room.

What happens

Short talks about the club and the community, an introduction to the formats we already run, and a long informal evening afterwards. Partner organisations — Come2UA, SKILL, the Softwarepark, FH OÖ, and local Hagenberg associations — are invited to take part.

Please help

A kick-off is a lot of hands. If you can help with setup, food, welcoming people at the door, or simply bringing others along, say so and we’ll find you something. That is, after all, the whole proposition of the club.
