AI Builder Nights
What AI can do now, how it works, and what you can build with it.
Every six to eight weeks - just turn up
One talk, one room, a drink in hand. Somebody shows something from the world of AI in twenty to thirty minutes, and the rest of the evening is the questions and the conversation.
What it’s about
One evening, one topic, from one of two directions:
- Use it - what people actually built with Lovable, Bolt, ChatGPT, Claude or a simple agent: what it took, what it cost, and where it broke.
- Understand it - how language models work, what is genuinely new this year, symbolic and subsymbolic AI, and what the models can and cannot do.
Hagenberg has worked on symbolic AI since long before it was called that, so expect evenings where language models meet logic and proof.
Images and video made with AI have their own evening: the AI Media Nights.
On stage is somebody from a Softwarepark company, a researcher, a student or one of us. The bar is something you know well and can show in half an hour, not a title.
Who it’s for
Everybody who is curious. You do not need to write code. Students, marketing, product, research, founders, artists - and developers who want the wider picture. The evenings are better for the mix.
How an evening runs
- The talk - twenty to thirty minutes. A live demo is better than slides.
- Questions and discussion - the longer half. Comparing notes on what works, what doesn’t, and what it all means.
- Drinks and the rest of the evening - free for members, guests donate towards drinks and snacks.

The deep end
If you already write code with AI agents every day and want to go further than a talk, the Agentic Engineering Evenings are for you: a small working group of practitioners where everybody demos. Plenty of people start here and move on there.
Who runs it
Endre Szasz-Revai runs these for now: he fixes the dates and finds the speakers. If you would like to take one evening, or the whole calendar, off his hands, say so - it is a smaller job than it sounds.
